ABSTRACT
Nerve growth factor (NGF) has been shown to support the survival and differentiation of neurons. In this study, we first developed a retrograde trans-multisynaptic tracer PRV580 expressing mCherry fluorescent protein based on pseudorabies virus Bartha strain map neural circuit sciatic nerve. Secondly, newly was used recovering nerve upon treatment with NGF. Our results showed that red signals from were observed in various brain regions. Among these regions, many areas pyramidal system extra-pyramidal had mapped, accounting for as much 56.8 % total inputs. Furthermore, found NGF could significantly increase ratio input (29.05 %) compared PBS (3.65 %), indicating indeed can aid repair injured These findings indicated therapeutic ability peripheral injuries virus-based tracers be monitor recovery.
