ABSTRACT
A 32-year-old nonlactational women with a nipple piercing and previous oral-to-breast contact presented findings consistent mastitis abscess, however, the patient failed multiple courses of empiric antimicrobials. Needle aspiration was performed culture positive for N. gonorrhoeae. She successfully treated intravenous ceftriaxone transitioned to oral ciprofloxacin once susceptibilities were known. gonorrhoeae is an uncommon cause abscess. few cases have been reported in context sexual piercings. In era increasing antimicrobial resistance risk disseminated gonococcal infection, high index suspicion should be maintained within this clinical context.
