ABSTRACT
We report a case of disseminated Cladophialophora bantiana phaeohyphomycosis with cerebral and pulmonary disease in 69-year-old renal transplant recipient. The patient presented confusion, low-grade fever progressed quickly to comatose state. Imaging revealed multiple small brain abscesses right nodule. Cultures bronchial washings biopsy the nodule grew C. bantiana, highly neurotropic fungus high mortality rate. He was treated Isavuconazonium sulfate (Isavuconazole) Liposomal Amphotericin B along reduction immunosuppressive therapy. His neurologic status remained unimproved despite treatment dual antifungal therapy for two months. eventually died from respiratory failure 79 days after his initial presentation, has been reported both immunocompetent immunocompromised patients. Its neurotropism described literature responsible 50 % cases fungal abscess. However, reports involvement are exceedingly rare. Our succumbed involvement.
