ABSTRACT
Conduction system pacing (CSP), consisting of His bundle (HBP) or left branch area (LBBAP) is a rapidly developing field. These techniques result in single lead ventricular resynchronisation. Understanding the associated learning curve two an important consideration for new implanters/implanting centres. We conducted review first 30 cases both HBP and LBBAP at The Royal Brompton Hospital. procedural duration fluoroscopy time were used as surrogates each technique.Patient characteristics similar groups; LV ejection fraction (46% vs 54%, p = 0.08), pre-procedural QRS (119 ms 128 ms, 0.32).Mean was shorter than (87 107mins, 0.04) drop more marked LBBAP, plateauing remaining low 80mins after initial 10 cases. Fluoroscopic screening mirrored (8 min 16 min, < 0.01).Our data suggest that CSP appears to plateaux cases, however longer with continued improvement over conjunction superior electrical parameters simplified programming mean establishment program potentially easier compared HBP.
