Stressful Life Events and Distress in Breast Cancer: A 5-Years Follow-Up

ABSTRACT
Environmental factors such as psychosocial stress have demonstrated to an impact on the breast cancer (BC) course. This study aims explore of psychotherapy and stressful life events (SLE) BC survivors' illness trajectories. 68 women with underwent Positive Psychotherapy or Cognitive-Behavioral Stress Management 37 patients were included a control group. The effects distress reduction SLE their 5-year recurrence investigated. Additional analyses examined effect receiving vs. not type therapy survival disease-free interval, DFI. A one-point decrease Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS) after predicted lower risk recurrence, OR = 0.84, p .037, 95% CI 0.71-0.99). El estrés psicosocial ha demostrado tener un impacto en la evolución del cáncer de mama (CM). Este estudio tiene como objetivo explorar el psicoterapia y los acontecimientos vitales estresantes (AVE) supervivencia pacientes con CM. 113 mujeres CM recibieron positiva o terapia cognitivo-conductual para manejar se incluyeron grupo control.
