ABSTRACT
Maternal hyperhomocysteinemia is associated with a number of complications such as preeclampsia syndrome, thromboembolic events, repeated miscarriages, abruptio placentae, in utero fetal death, intrauterine growth restriction and neural tube defects. However, little known about the mechanism homocysteine on degeneration brain. Thus, our study aimed to investigate effects maternal oxidative stress apoptosis pup Hyperhomocysteinemia was induced female rats by way administrating methionine dissolved water at dose 1g/kg body weight throughout pregnancy. After delivery, level lipid peroxidation (LPO; malondialdehyde+4-hydroxyalkenals) determined various fractions pub brains. Furthermore, DNA fragmentation, levels Bcl-2 protein p53 mRNA expression were evaluate apoptosis. Significant elevation found LPO subcellular brains delivered from hyperhomocysteinemic mothers. hallmark observed brain pups group while significant reduction seen anti-apoptotic levels. In addition, increased cerebral above control value. As conclusion, we demonstrate suggest that mothers have an tissues. The appears cause cell death. These results may be understand chronic pathology congenital malformations fetuses.
