ABSTRACT
Uncertainty associated with renewable power generation that supplies microgrid consumption brought new approaches to optimization frameworks. This paper proposes an advanced double-layer adaptive energy management system (EMS) for short-term operation scheduling. An EMS uses a reactive scheduling framework based on the rolling horizon strategy. It consists of two interconnected problems called layers. The upper layer performs online profit maximization, while lower near real-time dispatching aimed at minimizing corrective measures due mismatch in forecasts input parameters. developed implements battery storage (BESS) model and is evaluated using results tested microgrid. indicate mitigates uncertainty parameters enables operator lead different operational strategies as compromise between greater equipment lifetime extension.
