ABSTRACT
Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is an important zoonotic diseases caused by larval form of Echinococcus granulosus sensu lato. The material this study was the gray wolf (Canis lupus), which found dead in rural area Bingol province Turkey. animal brought to Veterinary Faculty for necropsy and many adult spp. obtained. A total 9 whole worms were morphologically examined under microscope, gDNA isolated from individual samples, a partial mt-CO1 gene fragment (875 bp) amplified with PCR sequenced. According phylogenetic analysis, six characterized as E. equinus, while three reported canadensis (G6/7). It that haplotypes both species similar previously published haplotypes. This first report equinus (G6/7) parasites detected together wolf's intestine. findings are it draws attention importance wild cycle spread CE.
