ABSTRACT
The structure of lithium (Li) metal anode, including the Li and solid electrolyte interphase (SEI), is critical to investigation cycle stability or decay mechanisms. three-dimensional (3D) visualization SEI, however, has not been demonstrated yet, owing lack 3D characterization techniques susceptibility anode toward oxygen, moisture, as well electron beam. Herein, we introduce a successful presentation deposited SEI established via low-dose cryogenic microscopy tomography. imaged in mode at different tilt angles then aligned reconstructed into image through an expectation-maximization algorithm. spherical deposits are confirmed tomography anode. It also discovered that corrodes turns concave possible self-discharge after long-time rest.
