ABSTRACT
The genetic improvement of economic traits suggests that chicken is an excellent model for exploring the changes and molecular mechanisms underlying phenotypic diversity artificial selection. Here, sequencing data including 477 samples from 25 breeds worldwide were used to reveal genomic patterns domestication. We analyzed 7.4 Tb clean with 14.8× per individual identify 23,504,766 SNPs, 3,289,782 InDels, 27,027 SVs. analysis indicates high-intensity selection would accelerate population differentiation. also found human-driven are controlled by polygenes major genes, such as primary candidates SOX5 IGF1 body size, NEDD4 sperm storage capacity. Our findings provide important reference understanding how shape phenotypes in livestock.
