ABSTRACT
Microwave ablation (MWA) is a minimally invasive treatment that uses thermal energy to target and destroy tumors. Compared other methods, such as radiofrequency (RFA), MWA operates at higher frequencies, allowing for faster larger areas. In addition its direct tumor-destroying effects, has been shown activate immune responses, contributing long-term antitumor effects. can also be combined with surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy enhance outcomes. This review examines the current research on MWA's technical innovations, clinical applications, potential in improving cancer efficacy.
