ABSTRACT
Soil erosion disturbs not only the global carbon cycle, but it is a complex environmental problem. Revegetation could reduce emission by controlling soil and increase sequestration accumulation fixing in vegetation soil. The Grain for Green Program (GFGP) of China largest ecological restoration program world closely related to land-use/land-cover change (LUCC). Systematically assessing benefit GFGP crucial better understanding effects implementing providing reasonable management. Therefore, we selected hilly red region (HRSR) southern as study area, which one main ecologically vulnerable areas China. We assessed area HRSR using InVEST (Integrated Valuation Environmental Services Tradeoffs) model based on datasets during 2000–2015. Our results show that conducive enhancement services. Total showed an increasing trend at rate 15.43% from 2000 2015. most significant mainly happened Hunan Province with shortest implementation time. each pool (namely aboveground biomass, belowground soil, dead organic matter) also increased slightly. Additionally, sequestration, unused land converted forest effective LUCC. This can provide scientific support management
