ABSTRACT
As one of the most densely populated and rapidly growing metropolitan areas worldwide, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) China has been developing extensive metro networks to relieve escalating traffic congestion inner cities shorten public transport time inter cities. Metro construction possibly triggers ground deformation, which may result in damage tunnel, pipeline, structures. Fast efficient monitoring deformation along lines is vital not only itself but also these This study provides a comprehensive investigation 67 within GBA, based on multi-temporal synthetic aperture radar interferometry (MT-InSAR) by using Sentinel-1 from March 2017 February 2022. The results reveal that velocity this area ranges –39.4 mm/year 14.2 mm/year, mainly caused tunnel excavation, adjacent excavation construction, unfavorable geological conditions. Furthermore, risk levels have evaluated InSAR-derived with proposed median absolute deviation heatmap clustering method. risky accounts for 16.31% (∼205.24 km2) whole among 13.76%, 2.16%, 0.39% are classified as three levels, mean velocities –2.2 –3.4 –6.5 respectively. presents megalopolitan-scale monitoring, first time, six important insights into future line constructing, operating planning.
