ABSTRACT
Mental health as a state of well-being can be affected by gender.The present work aims to examine the mental status in female students and recognize its affecting factors.A cross-sectional study on Payame-Noor University West Azerbaijan, Iran, was conducted among 1632 students.Data collection tools were demographic data General Health Questionnaires (GHQ-28).The results show that 51.5% population under healthy 48.5% have had disorders.Based social effects students, correlations between age (p = 0.15), location 0.29) parental education 0.34) with general assessed there no significant differences them.However, birth order < 0.002), marital 0.001) family income 0.000) regard status.This indicates 43.6% are suspected physical disorders, most effective factor is socioeconomic condition.The strong correlation order, status, disorders suggests necessity pay more attention all these issues at-risk students.
