ABSTRACT
Caffeine (CAF) and polyphenolic compounds like caffeic acid (CA), chlorogenic ferulic are commonly consumed through beverages food. These constituents modulate immune system impact the systemic inflammatory pathways. This study explored modulatory effect of CA + CAF on behavior lipopolysaccharide (LPS) – induced neuroinflammation in mice. An array behavioral tests suggest that (15 mg/kg) (10 mg/kg 5 express anxiolytic-like properties. Systemic administration LPS (1.5 profound immobility, increased systemic/brain cytokine (TNF-α IL-6) levels altered host antioxidant defence all animals. Seven days pretreatment with alone significantly reversed LPS-induced changes markers. Our results low doses may offer a comparable anxiolytic antidepressant when combined CAF.
