ABSTRACT
The purpose of the current study was to observe anti-diabetic and anti-obesity effects blue honeysuckle (BH; Lonicera caerulea L.) extracts on obese diabetic mice. BH dose-dependently significantly inhibited abnormal endocrine pancreas histopathological changes. Moreover, favorable non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, nephropathy, hyperlipidemia refinement activities in were shown be dose dependent. Particularly, extract 200 mg/kg showed modulatory PPAR γ AMPK hepatic adipose tissues as comparable those positive control, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) administration. Results from suggest that could a potential functional ingredient for through inhibition lipogenesis glucose production by regulating lipid metabolism-related mRNA expressions.
