Moringa-Fu brick tea extract attenuated high-fat diet-induced obesity via modulating bile acid metabolism and gut microbiota in rats

ABSTRACT
Obesity is regarded to be correlated with disorders of lipid metabolism, bile acid metabolism and dysbiosis the gut microbiota. Moringa-Fu brick tea (MFBT), a functional food, has significant anti-obesity effect. However, effectiveness mechanisms MFBT in preventing obesity require further investigation. Here, our results show that moringa-Fu extract (MFTE) displays effects by reducing high-fat diet-induced weight gain adipose tissue accumulation rats, attenuating visceral adiposity index, oxidative stress inflammation. In addition, MFTE could regulate microbiota diversity, reduce relative abundance microbioa associated salt hydrolase (BSH) activity, such as Blautia, Ruminococcaceae, Coprococcus Roseburia. Moreover, improve expression main rate-limiting enzymes CYP7A1 CYP27A1 process synthesis, downregulate intestinal FXR protein, promote serum level, cholesterol liver.
