Incidence and contributing factors of non-root canal treated teeth with chronic fatigue root fracture: A cross-sectional study

ABSTRACT
Chronic fatigue root fracture describes a in non-root canal treated (non-RCT) tooth. This study aimed to report the incidence and contributing factors of non-RCT teeth with chronic Taiwanese population. cross-sectional included extracted at Taipei Veterans General Hospital Taiwan between 2018 2019. The reasons for extractions were recorded vertical horizontal fractures (VRF HRF). Comparisons clinical VRF HRF performed by chi-square or Fisher exact test, where appropriate. Of 4207 examined, 263 (6.25%) had tooth fracture. Thirty-two fracture, including 16 HRF. was 0.76% (32/4207). occurrence higher males (83.9%). mean age 31 patients 71.7 ± 13.1 years. More than half these intact crowns severe attrition. occurred more frequently molars (P = 0.003), roots long oval cross-section 0.037), terminal 0.013) is 0.76%.
