Investigating chemical features of Panax notoginseng based on integrating HPLC fingerprinting and determination of multiconstituents by single reference standard

Panax notoginseng is a highly valued medicine and functional food, whose quality considered to be influenced by the size, botanical parts, growth environments. In this study, HPLC method integrating fingerprinting determination of multiconstituents single reference standard was established adopted investigate chemical profiles active constituent contents 215 samples with different sizes, from parts geographical regions. Chemical differences among main root, branch rotten root were not distinct, while rhizome fibrous could discriminated other parts. The Wenshan Autonomous Prefecture cities nearby similar, whereas far away not. major constituents in did correlate market price. This study provided comprehensive evidence for rational usage regions practice.
