ABSTRACT
1D/2D dual drainage models have become one of the most useful tools in study urban pluvial floods. However, such require information about sewer network that is not always readily available. In this we present a physics-based approach for assessing floods, with aim overcoming common situation having limited on system. The method proposed involves use available open-access within virtual generation tool. This realistic allows implementation models, as recently developed Iber-SWMM model. Results obtained from four storm events using were compared those derived data actual coastal town located NW Spain. These results revealed can reasonably represent network's capacity during especially to other simplified approaches, like rainfall reduction method. also accounts transport and impact overflows when sewer's exceeded. Hence confirms significant effect these processes magnitude flooding areas. methodology shown be robust, applied any settlement which no proper record
