ABSTRACT
YABBY genes are plant-specific transcription factors (TF) that function in plant growth and development. We investigated the functions of plants' stress tolerance by analyzing foxtail millet (Setaria italica) studying their on responses to different stresses. Eight were identified five chromosomes, which showed strong relationships with other monocot species. Phylogenetical SiYABs classified into four clades: FIL/YAB3, YAB2, INO, CRC. No member was YAB5 clade. Four conserved motifs identified, motif 1 constituted domain, whereas 2 3 formed C2-C2 region. SiYAB highly expressed reproductive tissues. SiDL, one SiYABs, selected be overexpressed Arabidopsis thaliana check genes. Overexpression SiDL caused delayed flowering, leaf curling, reduced seed size. In addition, acted as a negative regulator response salt stress. Our study provides information assist gene S. italica.1
