ABSTRACT
Listeria monocytogenes is among the most important foodborne pathogens, which can be isolated from bird feces. The aim of this study was to examine prevalence, genotypes, virulence factors and drug-resistance characteristics L. black-headed gull in Kunming, China. Serotypes genes were identified by polymerase chain reaction. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) methods used describe genetic all positive isolates. Furthermore, isolates tested for antimicrobial susceptibility disk diffusion method. All inlA, inlB, plcB, prfA, iap, actA hly genes. Serotyping showed belonged serotype 1/2b (2/9, 22%), 1/2c (3/9, 33%), 4a (4/9, 44%). PFGE 4 different pulsotypes (PTs), MLST differentiated 9 into types (STs), ST3 (1), ST5 ST35 (3) ST201 (4). result revealed that naturally sensitive antibiotics. had pathogenic potential. There a potential infection risk people who come frequent contact with gulls Kunming. Hence, it necessary conduct surveillance migratory gulls, would valuable prevent listeriosis local residents tourists.
