ABSTRACT
In the era of SARS-CoV-2 variants and COVID-19 vaccination, duration infectious viral shedding isolation in post vaccine breakthrough infections is challenging depends on disease severity. The current study described a case Delta variant pneumonia requiring hospitalization. patient received two doses BNT162b2 vaccines, he had positive cultures 12 days symptom onset. time between second dose infection was 6 months. While immunosuppression known risk factor for prolonged shedding, age vaccination are important factors that warrant further studies.
