ABSTRACT
In this paper, the relationship between anisotropic mechanical properties and corresponding microstructure evolution of wrought magnesium alloys is critically reviewed. Experimental observations strong anisotropy (including strength differential effect) induced by texture twinning are discussed under different loading conditions (i.e., monotonic, cyclic multiaxial loading). An accurate constitutive model essential to describe responses predict forming performance considering engineering applications. Therefore, macroscale modeling with directional distortional hardening comprehensively reviewed approaches. To clarify origin behavior, physics-based mesoscale also compared in detail.
