ABSTRACT
The properties of gun propellants are important for the stability weapon systems and have been extensively studied in field research. In this work, an applied semi-solvent method was used to prepare a triple base propellant with nitrated bacterial cellulose (NBC)/nitrocellulose (NC) as binder system. For first time, study found that addition NBC system resulted distinct spatial 3D network structure. morphology, composition, mechanical properties, energy, thermal behaviour, combustion performance structure were characterised. formation mechanism effect on discussed. This work verified application different plasticisers indicated effective improvement impact resistance burning rate by NBC, while retaining other properties.
