ABSTRACT
Erosion is known to cost the oil and gas industry millions of dollars in maintenance repairs. While velocity, particle size, angle impact material properties such as hardness target are affect erosion rate, little about effects stress state itself. This paper studies individual combined angle, velocity from an external tensile load on rates mild steel S275JR. Loads up 70% yield strength (YS) was applied were determined weight loss samples. Microscopy analyses, tests, 2D 3D profilometry also carried out.
