ABSTRACT
The current study was aimed to develop bacterial cellulose (BC) composites synergistically with polymer (Chitosan (chi)) and a nanomaterial (green synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using an Azadirachta indica leaves extract). BC-Chi-Ag were developed through ex-situ composite development strategy evaluated for their structural, biological catalytic activities. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) displayed the impregnation of Chi AgNPs in porous BC network. formulation further confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis which showed presence additional crystallinic peaks together pure ones. Bactericidal assays against modern pathogen including Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli depicted significant reduction growth results compared BC. Kapp value found be 0.37081 min−1 0.35108 Rh B 4-NP, respectively. High bactericidal potentials seriously justify potential applications medical environmental fields.
