ABSTRACT
The present study aims to clarify the possibility of rapid heating in preparation low-carbon ultrafine (UFG) steel. effects rate on phase transformation, microstructure and precipitation a microalloyed steel were elaborately investigated. results manifest that potentially provides simple innovative process for UFG steels just by increasing rate. parent austenite grains refined due more reserved (Nb, Ti, V)C precipitates dislocations within short heating. However, an effective holding time was proposed ensure grains. Moreover, synthetic influences initial increased grain boundaries redissolved carbides provoked abnormal with weakened thermostability. Redissolution apparent during nucleation at slow rate, it verified isothermal stage In addition, austenitic transition occurred higher temperature increase which transformation accelerated.
