ABSTRACT
The value-added utilization of coal fly ash (CFA) remains a major challenge worldwide, as tens millions tons CFA are stockpiled or landfilled per year in China along, leading to waste resources and environmental pollution. Herein, facile, environmentally friendly, strategy combining modified with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) form CFA/PVC composites, was adopted effectively solve the problems caused by resources. In this process, composites were prepared hot-mixing aluminate coupling agent, PVC additives, followed extrusion, cooling, shaping, traction, cutting. resulting material excellent mechanical properties (static bending strength, tensile hardness 34.9 MPa, 17.1 HRR 103, respectively) successfully utilized CFA-plastic decking boards (CFA/PVC composites). Compared conventional materials for use, our exhibited comparable performance but is more attractive from both economical point view. More importantly, reduces cost production 10–20%, process rather simple robust, it industrialized.
