ABSTRACT
Corrugated-flat rolling (CFR) process was employed to manufacture the Mg/Al clad plate at 400°C. The CFR can produce flat with excellent shape and corrugated interface. EBSD analysis tensile-shear tests were conducted study interface characteristics of plate, revealing its strengthening mechanism. After second-pass process, intermetallic compounds (IMCs) layer formed by heat treatment between passes broke, causing new bonding observed in gap fractured IMCs. Intermittently distributed IMCs played a "pinning" role on restrained each other interface, which improve cooperative deformation ability Mg Al enhance strength. strength trough position 33.97 MPa, higher than that peak (24.17 MPa). During strong compressive stress applied, improving uniformity refining metal grains, resulting an improvement tensile properties. UTS 255.77 fracture EL 5.72%.
