ABSTRACT
Rapid annealing (RA), or the application of a high temperature for short duration, is an efficient strategy to promote nano-crystallization Fe-based amorphous alloys and improve their soft magnetic properties. Herein, ternary Fe-Co-B alloy investigated as typical system reveal effect RA on crystallization behavior It found that large superheating generated during significantly increases homogenous nucleation rate nanocrystals, while duration greatly inhibits growth kinetics, yielding fine dense nanograins in matrix. The shows optimized properties low coercivity (5.6 A/m) saturation magnetization (1.87 T) after at 813 K 3 s. In contrast, small long used conventional produce sparse grains with single crystal morphology above 30 A/m. This work reveals thermodynamic kinetic effects alloys, showing treatment (high time) can induce in-situ homogeneous growth, which may help guide design Cu-free amorphous/nanocrystalline desirable
