ABSTRACT
This research investigates the relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties of electron beam welding joints, with a particular emphasis on influence varying currents AISI 410L stainless steel plates NS163 Co-based superalloy wires, which is rare novel form welding. An increase in current led to gradual transformation weld from columnar equiaxed grains, creating finer more homogeneous grains. Macrosegregation was also observed, consequence liquidus temperature difference metal (WM) base (BM). The segregation structure exhibited irregularly shaped beaches near fusion line islands unmixed partially mixed within WM. phenomenon pronounced samples lower current. Given limitations BM shape WM size, nanoindentation employed characterize strength welded joints. In conjunction microhardness measurements, it confirmed that strengthened under different currents, higher resulting significant strengthening effect. study underscores value evaluating brush seals without destruction.
