ABSTRACT
Ti/Al laminated composites embedded with Al0.5CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy particles were prepared by vacuum hot press sintering process at temperatures of 660 °C and 730 °C. The microstructure the material was initially examined using XRD, SEM, EDS, EBSD, TEM techniques. results microstructural characterisation show that Al3Ti is only newly generated phase in materials two temperatures. temperature concentrated interface position. a dispersed Al matrix, leading to formation numerous Al3Ti/Al interfaces. residual HEA observed sites oxide aggregation, potentially enhancing connectivity weak Following that, flexural strength fracture toughness evaluated. indicate exhibit superior properties. perpendicular layer direction reaches 515.89 MPa, while parallel 487.1 MPa. These findings demonstrate clear anisotropy performance. Additionally, exhibits excellent resistance crack extension, 32.67 MPa√m.
