ABSTRACT
The effects of selective laser melting (SLM) parameters on the formability, microstructure, and mechanical properties Zr-containing Al–1Cu–1Mg–3Mn alloys were investigated. It was observed that, under different energy density, type, shape, volume, number defects different. At a lower cracks irregular holes occurred, with an increase in gradually became spherical. mechanism diagram for hole formation drawn, reason crack described. microstructure specimen made equiaxed columnar grains, Al2Cu Al6Mn precipitates found both at grain boundaries inside grains. electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) indicated that large grains centre primarily exhibited {001} {101} orientations. In region, orientation along {111} enhanced. A hardness test revealed cross section longitudinal alloy basically same. When density 3.06 J/mm2, tensile yield strength 434 MPa 336 MPa, respectively, elongation 4.8 %.
