ABSTRACT
The further development of lightweight and energy-saving engineering materials is a great challenge for scientists in the 21st century. Magnesium its composites, as metal with lowest density among structural materials, have good thermal conductivity, dimensional stability, high specific strength, biocompatibility, which can meet requirements energy saving, emission reduction, environmental protection. In recent years, magnesium composites found major applications various fields such aerospace, automotive, electronics medical. However, fabrication matrix difficult, deformation behaviors strengthening mechanisms particulate reinforced unique characteristics. This article reviews research progress including different methods mechanisms. According to classification solidification rate, advantages disadvantages techniques used fabricate were introduced. traditional novel discussed. influence particulates on microstructures, recrystallization behaviors, texture strength twin during extrusion summarized, roles was analyzed. mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance creep revealed. Finally, prospect direction prospected. It hoped that this paper provide reference composites.
