In recent years, research has focused heavily on the investigation of functionalized ammonium polyphosphate (APP) flame retardants to improve fire safety epoxy resins (EP). The reason for this is dual nature APP's performance in protection EP. This article provides a comprehensive overview advances use APP resistance EP materials. It then presents improvement modification terms hydrophobicity, compatibility and catalytic ability retardants, as well effects resistance, heat smoke reduction mechanical properties composites.
