ABSTRACT
Precise taxonomy and the chronostratigraphic calibration of Middle Eocene Alveolina from Central Iran is here undertaken Chah-Talkh section southern Sabzevar region (Central Iran). We have identified kieli, stercusmuris nuttalli along with new species ozcani n. sp. that we include into elliptica group. also found Nummulites uroniensis, obesus cf. verneuili associated calcareous nannofossils look reliable to make thoughtful correlations Shallow Benthic Zones (SBZ). The foraminiferal biostratigraphy suggests an assignment upper part lower Lutetian–lower middle Lutetian, SBZ13 (Middle Eocene), further strengthened through identification nannofossil NP14b–NP15b or CNE8–CNE10 biozones, providing a solid correlation global stratigraphic standards.
