ABSTRACT
In the present study, extraction and isolation of Pelargonidin, an anthocyanin compound from stem bark Ficus benghalensis are described. The study also involves evaluation effect Pelargonidin on phenotypic variations in zebra fish embryos. Extraction were carried out by employing liquid-liquid technique, phytochemical tests, column chromatography, UV FT-IR. embryo model, Paclitaxel was employed as a negative control. A series changes different stages embryonic development studied with treatment concentrations between 3.0 20 ppm at 0-72-hour post-fertilization (hpf). results our studies indicate that, after exposure embryos to 3.3-20 concentration for 72 h, significant reduction aortic occurs. At dose level 0.5 range 3.3 ppm, found have bent tail, malformed eyes developmental delays vasculature. Based obtained, we infer that can exhibit anti-angiogenic stage it be applied future exploration its potential. Furthermore, could serve candidate drug vivo inhibition angiogenesis neovascular diseases tumor.
