ABSTRACT
The black soldier fly (BSF) Hermetia illucens (L.) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae) is a "crown jewel" in waste management because it rapidly bioconverts organic streams into nutrient-rich biomass. Bangladesh's inefficient has caused serious environmental issues due to the massive amounts of waste, mainly livestock manures and municipal generated daily. We need reliable BSF maximize our resources. To establish long-term, stable colony, we closely examined seasonal abundance life cycle features raised on garbage poultry manure regional natural environment lab. This investigation lasted two years (2019–2020). Season raising substrates affected wild egg clutches cycles. Organic dumps captured most rainy seasons fewest cooler months. Municipal rubbish consistently produced wilder than dumpsites. larvae grew slower winter faster season, independent substrate. Winter was optimal for adult longevity all streams. cultivated exhibited fewer per female, shorter lighter prepupae, lower ecolosion rates wetter While given wastes had highest rates, fed more variation prepupae length weight, lifespan, clutches. Larval development with waste. protein ash content rearing exceeded those urban although fat equivalent. These findings indicate that both types may be suitable trash treatment
