ABSTRACT

Abstract

Objectives
the prevalence of intracranial aneurysms and arachnoid cysts is higher in patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) than general population. A genotype correlation was reported for aneurysms, but it unclear cysts. Therefore, investigated ADPKD.
Materials Methods
were screened by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), PKD genotypes examined using next-generation sequencing 169
Results
PKD1-, PKD2- no-mutation identified 137, 24 8 patients, respectively. Intracranial found 34 25 respectively, no significant difference frequency. Genotype, sex, estimated glomerular filtration rate age at ADPKD diagnosis significantly affected brain MRI. The proportional hazard risk analyzed MRI adjusted these four variables 5.0-times PKD1 group PKD2 (P = 0.0357), not different 0.1605). Arachnoid diagnosed earlier (54.8 vs 67.7 years, P 0.0231), 0.4738) Kaplan-Meier analysis.
Conclusions
this study demonstrated between mutation. association advanced renal may be due to common factors
