However, percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) accepted as a minimally invasive option. In study, we evaluated oncologic results, functional outcomes complications after PN or RFA sized (4cm less) Bosniak cystic lesions. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed medical records 135 patients who underwent (99) (36) lesions between January 2009 December 2014. After excluding with hereditary disease less than 12 months follow-up, 128 (PN, 97; RFA, 31) remained analysis. Pathologic characteristics, tumor violation during surgery, residual tumor, local recurrence distant metastasis data were collected. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) was calculated using Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration (CKD-EPI) equations checked preoperatively, 1 month, 6 months, postoperatively. graded Clavien classification system. RESULTS The median size 2.6cm. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) accounted 86.6% (84/97) in group. group, histologic subtype identified 32.3% (10/31) patients, but 90.0% (9/10) revealed RCC. One case occurred group 2 cases cancer observed But there no distance both groups follow-up 34.0 months. Compared showed decrease percent change CKD-EPI GFR at month (-13.6% vs -6.8%, p=0.039). Perioperative complication 29.9% 22.6% According system, Grade IIIa 4.1% 6.5% There grade IIIb CONCLUSIONS results our study indicated that comparable better early preservation functions PN. © 2017FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Volume 197Issue 4SApril 2017Page: e1332 Advertisement Copyright & Permissions© 2017MetricsAuthor Information Expand PDF downloadLoading ...
