ABSTRACT
The EuroQol Group published the EQ-5D-Y valuation protocol that recommends 2 techniques to elicit preferences: composite time trade-off (C-TTO) and discrete choice experiments (DCEs). left decision of what modeling approach use open for researchers. Our aims were explore strategies allowing generation value sets produce an Spanish set.We used DCE C-TTO data collected in Spain following adopted a staged our exercise. First, we selected best performing latent class model evaluated models from 10 classes. We preferred based on goodness fit terms Bayesian information criterion. considered anchoring approaches estimate utility values: (1) pits state (2) hybrid (using all available responses). All analysis weighted be representative population. We 1005 200 interviews. including 4 Hybrid using observations produced narrower range values than approach. In this article, have presented set can cost-utility Spain. international should updated include different health states experiment if researchers wish alternative "pits state."
