Iron-doped hierarchically porous Fe-ZSM-5 zeolite with 3D continuous pore architecture for catalytical degradations

ABSTRACT
Abstract Hierarchically porous Fe-ZSM-5 beads (HP–Fe-ZSM-5) with 3D continuous pore architecture were synthesized by hard template method and used to catalyze the degradation reactions of methylene blue (MB) and phenol with H2O2 solution. The characterization results showed that target structure perfectly replicated the pore channels of the resin beads and MFI framework was simultaneously constructed. The catalytic results displayed that degradation degrees in both cases were nearly 100% when reaction time reached 1.5 h, which showed higher efficiency compared with traditional Fe-ZSM-5 nanoparticle and Fe-MCM-41 due to 3D continuous large mesopores which was potentially favorable for the mass transfer.
