ABSTRACT
Ti-44.5Al-3.8Nb-1Mo-0.2B alloy (TNM) sheets were prepared by hot rolling, and the effect of initial microstructure on process was discussed in this work. The as-received TNM billets with nearly fully lamellar structures forging casting processes (named M1 M2), respectively. For as-rolled from M1, fraction recrystallization increased gradually decrease reduction per pass based GOS analysis. Compared M2 required a larger deformation to achieve complete recrystallization. Meanwhile, possessed smaller grain size than that M1. In addition, γ-DRX behavior during multi-pass rolling discussed, DDRX found play dominant role process. phase transformation β/β0 → α occurred 1200 °C It presumed promoted increasing temperature, therefore, volume β0 decreased. α2 lath decomposed temperature 1250 °C, simultaneously, combination adjacent γ laths resulted coarsening lath.
