ABSTRACT
The superhydrophobic Zn-based coating with hierarchical structure has good prospects in metal anticorrosion. However, the practical application of is still limited by poor mechanical stability micro/nano structure. Herein, a robust Zn/ZnO pine needle-like and superior corrosion resistance was design constructed. micro-scale polyhedral Zn fabricated on steel followed deposition radially aligned ZnO nanorods, forming novel structure, which finally modified stearic acid. Notably, structured (Zn/ZnO-3) exhibits excellent superhydrophobicity contact angle 166.8 ± 1.4° sliding 2.6 0.5°. What's more, Zn/ZnO-3 maintains after suffering from strong acid/alkali, tape peeling, water drop impact sandpaper abrasion tests. Compared carbon hydrophobic coating, current density decreased approximately 4 3 orders magnitude, respectively. mechanochemical anti-corrosion performance ascribed to its Overall, this work provides strategy surfaces resistance, holding great metallic protection.
