Synthesis and electrochemical performance of flower-like MnCo2O4 as an anode material for sodium ion batteries

ABSTRACT
Abstract Flower-like MnCo2O4 is synthesized by a co-precipitation method. When evaluated as anode materials for Na-ion battery, flower-like MnCo2O4 sample obtained at 400 °C can deliver a discharge capacity of 244 mA h g−1 after the 40th cycle at 50 mA g−1, which corresponds to 77.1% of the 2nd discharge capacity. Such excellent performance is attributed to the formation of mesopores and large specific surface area of the flower-like MnCo2O4.
