ABSTRACT
Naturally occurring photonic crystals present on the wing scales of Papilio butterflies are known to exhibit vivid iridescent coloration as well various optical properties, including vapor sensing properties. This work reports fabrication a periodic array concave multilayers in porous silicon mimicking blumei nanostructure and its application an sensor. We compared variations reflectance spectrum due ethanol adsorption condensation inside bio-inspired multilayer structure standard flat Bragg mirror. results enhanced response time case structure.
