ABSTRACT
Abstract MIL-125 (Ti) is a kind of Ti-MOF that has been deeply researched and is widely used in adsorption, photocatalysis, electrode materials, sensors and other applications. This article mainly introduces the current modification strategies for MIL-125 (Ti), such as photosensitization, functional group modification, metal ion doping, and calcination to form MOF derivatives, morphology and structure control, and the applications as composites of other semiconductors. Among them, the heterojunction formed by the MIL-125 (Ti) composite material can promote charge separation, reduce the recombination rate of hole-electron pairs, and improve photocatalytic performance. In addition, the applications of MIL-125 (Ti) in the environment are briefly introduced, such as those in adsorption, photocatalysis, electrode materials, and biological and chemical sensors, with emphasis on the application of photocatalysis. Finally, the most promising modification strategy for MIL-125 (Ti) is proposed.
