ABSTRACT
Multi-layer friction surfacing (MLFS) is a solid state layer deposition technology for metals. In order to make use of the potential MLFS as additive manufacturing, material properties built structures have be investigated and understood in detail. This study presents comprehensive analysis mechanical deposited from micro-flat tensile testing (MFTT) at elevated temperatures. The specimens obtained fine-grained show slightly higher strength room temperature but lower temperatures 300 °C above compared stud base material. No significant gradient along structure could observed terms properties. analyses fracture surfaces microstructure tested MFTT provide insights deformation mechanism consumable Especially high 500 °C, shows abnormal grain growth which results behavior.
