ABSTRACT
Cognitive impairment is a persistent and increasingly reported symptom of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), significantly affecting daily functioning quality. This study aims to evaluate the functional connectivity brain network in various severities cognitive decline using quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) analysis.Based on EEG recorded resting state, coherence phase lag index were calculated 108 divided into three groups according their condition: dementia due PD (PD-D), mild (PD-MCI) cognitively normal (PD-CogN).It was found that there different values PD-D group compared PD-CogN frequency bands. In most cases, decrease PD-CogN. The specific changes revealed theta band temporal right-frontal left right regions. alpha band, significant decreases shown occipital left-frontal areas. There also statistically differences between many areas, especially range. These findings indicate patterns - particular region could become reliable biomarker for identifying differentiating its severity patients.
